Guelph Counsellor Marinela Trickett on Supporting People Through Grief, Burnout and Life Transitions
Guelph, Canada - September 25, 2026 / Trickett Counselling /
Trickett Counselling is sharing the story behind its Guelph practice and the counsellor who leads it. Marinela Trickett, RP, MACP, has spent nearly two decades helping people through grief, stress, burnout, anxiety and life's turning points. Today, Trickett Counselling offers warm, practical support in person in Guelph and online across Ontario, with a free 15-minute consultation for anyone considering counselling.
Nearly Two Decades of Experience Behind the Practice
Marinela Trickett holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University (2015) and is registered with the CRPO (#7483). Over close to 20 years, she has worked with people from diverse cultural backgrounds, ages and life circumstances, supporting them through some of the most difficult stretches of adult life. Alongside her client work, she supervises and mentors a team of counsellors. She also speaks Bulgarian.
Her approach starts with compassion. Marinela looks at how emotions show up in both the mind and the body. She helps clients find balance between the areas of their lives they want to change and the strengths they have already built.
Support for Grief and Loss
Grief can follow the loss of a person, a role or a major life chapter. Trickett Counselling offers a space to process what has happened without rushing toward a resolution, at a pace that fits each person.
Support for Burnout and Stress
Burnout can look like exhaustion, emotional withdrawal, or a growing sense of disconnection from work and daily life. Counselling sessions help clients understand what is driving their burnout and build a realistic path forward.
"I believe in bringing compassion to every interaction," said Marinela Trickett, RP, MACP. "Whether someone is in a moment of need or carrying something much heavier, my aim is to help them find balance, building on what they've already mastered while supporting the change they want."
Support in Person or Online
Guelph residents can meet in person at the practice's Guelph office. Clients elsewhere in Ontario can connect through secure online sessions. The online option often helps people with busy schedules, new parents, and anyone going through a life transition that makes regular travel difficult.
No referral is needed, and sessions are covered by most extended health insurance plans. Every new client starts with a free 15-minute consultation to see whether counselling is the right fit.
